Greetings from Sudharani Doloiram Pathak College of Teacher Education popularly known as
‘SDP College of Teacher Education’, Tihu. This college is the premier and the oldest teacher training institute of greater Nalbari area having an indelible footprint in educational, literary, social and political life of Nalbari district.
Education is essentially a vital human activity. The progress of a country particularly of a democratic country like India, depends mostly upon the quality of its system of education and for this reason teaching is the noblest among all professions. Teachers are considered to be nation builders. The role of teachers in the new millennium has become versatile and an intimidating task. It is teachers who alone can contribute and build a healthy academic system for a nation to grow.
About The College
S. D. P. College of Teacher Education, Tihu was established in 1994 with a view to imparting training to young graduates and teachers educators to derive the best use of the concerned persons for performing teaching-learning activities in a useful manner in secondary level of education. The authority of the institution, had the ingenuity to see at the distant horizon a beautiful and transparent educational activities in this area, so that the pass-outs get them selves equipped to meet the challenges of the time.
